The M&S Structural Engineering Department provides a wide variety of engineering and design services in both the rehabilitation of existing structures and the design and construction of new structures. As the nation’s infrastructure continues to age, the need to maintain and upgrade our nation’s bridges has become vital in order to ensure the safety of the traveling public. To aid in this effort, M&S offers a professional staff that has the experience and expertise to provide all of the essential engineering services required to accomplish this task. These services include: inspection, analysis, rehabilitation, and retrofitting of existing bridges and culverts, as well as the design of new structures. In addition, M&S provides a wide range of other structural services including the design of pedestrian bridges, retaining walls, noise walls and sign structures, as well as temporary structures such as sheet pile walls, cofferdams, and temporary utility supports. These services can be provided on projects varying in size, ranging from those involving large scale interstates to county and municipal roads, as well as private developments.
